Don’t Miss The Next Blog…
Finally, the best show has returned. That can only mean that we will be able to witness another day from hell in the eyes of Jack Bauer. Jack Bauer – CTU is the frickin’ man. Enough said. However, I have a handful of issues with the show…
I consider myself as a novice when it comes to marketing and marketing techniques. But when a show is advertised week in and week out as “the most compelling epsisode ever” there will come a time where the viewer will just say “uhhh big frick” you fags said that last week. Note to the marketing wizards that run these campaigns: know that we as 24 viewers will automatically assume that next episode of 24 will be best ever. Save your money or put it towards getting Will and Grace off the air.
Stop asking us “what will Jack do next?” We already know. For those of you who don’t know. I’ll clue you in. First Jack is going to disobey someone or something. This could be his boss, president, or traffic signal. Then someone who has important information will sure be shot and killed. Next Jack will lie. Then Jack will get someone working at the CTU headquarters to lie and disobey as well. Jack will continue on by making a promise to someone about saving something. So on and so on. Blah Blah Blah Jack saves the day.
During these 24 hours where Jack is saving the world, they only show him in trouble or shooting foreigners. They never show him doing anything normal. There is no way that after all those gun fights that Jack doesn’t get hungry or have to take a leak. Apparently snacking on some food, relieving ones self, or even taking a shower is not as exciting as uploading pictures of terrorists to Chloe’s computer at CTU.
I have an idea for the next season of 24. It will be the scariest cliffhanger ever. Fox can contact me at any time for the full dialogue as this is just some overviews for the next season.
The following takes place between 6am and 7am: Jack is sleeping
The following takes place between 7am and 8am: Still sleeping. Drool is starting to puddle up on Jack’s pillow.
The following takes place between 8am and 9pm: Up and at ‘em! Pours himself a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Tunes in to Sportscenter. Oh no! It’s trash day and Jack didn’t get the garbage out to the curb yet. He hears the roar of the garbage truck creeping up the street. Still barefoot and his robe Jack sprints to the garage where he assembles the weekly accumulation of trash. He can smell the fumes from the truck and B.O. of the workers. He yells…NO!!!! As they are coasting by. He runs. A drop of sweat falls from this brow as he disobeys the workers and throws the garbage bags in the truck. All by himself. Deep Breath. Catches his composure. What will Jack do next? Stay Tuned!
